Star of the Steelers
The epitome of the classic American sports star, Ben Roethlisberger served as
Quarterback of the Pittsburg Steelers from 2004 to 2021, cementing his place in
American Football history. Along with being a sports legend, Roethlisberger has
contributed to many charitable works and foundations.
Career
In the 2004 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected Roethlisberger as the 11th
overall pick; his performance earned him a spot on the PFWA Rookie team and the
NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Making history with 74 wins in his
first 100 home game starts, Ben Roethlisberger led the Steelers to nine
postseasons, secured seven AFC North Championships, four AFC Championships, and
won two Super Bowls, setting a record as the youngest quarterback at 23.
Roethlisberger spent his entire career in Pittsburgh, hitting incredible numbers; his
achievements include two Super Bowl championships, six Pro Bowl selections, and
two NFL passing leader titles. In 2021, Roethlisberger extended his contract
with the Pittsburgh Steelers for one more year, finally announcing his
retirement in January 2022.
Contribution
One of Ben’s life missions is to aid in developing family units, working to nurture
family values to develop more functional communities and children.
Ben and his wife support NeoLight, a company that offers products for babies with jaundice,
and are eager to assist in helping children with special needs, and their
family members who may require an extra helping hand.
Roethlisberger and Micah Tyler, partnering with Light of Life Rescue
Mission, are aiding Pittsburgh’s homeless. Purchasing Tyler’s
black & gold DIFFERENT T-Shirt means contributing to a meal donation at the
mission, with Roethlisberger and his family matching each donation.
Ben Roethlisberger stands out for his incredible performance on the football field,
but his many charitable projects have a reach far beyond sports. Working to
foster growth in all fields of life, his success comes not only from his Sports
career but from turning it into a cause for the betterment of his community.
